About
About Screenwage
Screenwage is an iPhone app that turns focus into screen time: the apps you choose stay locked until you earn minutes on them. It is built on Apple’s Screen Time, paid for by a subscription, and designed so there is always a fair way back in.

Why Screenwage exists
Most ways of cutting screen time ask for willpower all day, or offer a button to ignore the limit, and that button gets tapped. Screenwage takes a different deal: scrolling is not banned, it is earned. Focus fills an hourglass with grains of sand, and each grain buys one minute in a locked app. How it works.
What Screenwage will never do
- Sell grains. They come only from focus and have no cash value.
- Take back what you earned. Grains you earned stay yours.
- Trap you. Profile → Safety turns all blocking off at once, with no waiting period.
- Learn which apps you lock. Apple gives them to Screenwage as anonymous tokens that stay on your iPhone.
- Make things up. No invented reviews, ratings or numbers on this site or in the app.
How Screenwage makes money
One subscription, monthly or yearly (the yearly plan starts with a 3-day free trial), sold through the App Store. No ads, no tracking, nothing sold. What is stored and why is in the privacy policy.
